The oldest boxing coach is Abraham (Abe) Pervin (Canada, b. 13 August 1919) of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, who at the age of 94 years 288 days has been an active boxing coach and trainer since 1935, as of May 2014.
Abe began his career as a boxer and then became a boxing coach and trainer. He was responsible for the training and coaching several professional boxers including, Lucian Bute, Adrian Diaconu, Eric Lucas, Leonard Doroftei and Steve Molitor and also worked with Canadian Featherweight boxer, Lucia Larcinese. He was the Head Coach of the Canadian Olympic Boxing Team for the 1976 Olympic Summer Games and was elected into the Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame on 24 May 1988. Abe sadly passed away in 2019.
