Highest-grossing horror film series at the global box office

The highest-grossing horror film series at the global box office is The Conjuring Universe with a total gross of $2,250,919,402 (₤1,813,950,669) across its eight instalments as of 17 November 2023, according to The Numbers.

The series is interconnected with The Nun and Annabelle spin-off series, which are prequels to the main-cannon Conjuring story. The eight films that form the franchise to date are: The Conjuring (2013), Annabelle (2014), The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist (2016), Annabelle: Creation (2017), The Nun (2018), Annabelle Comes Home (2019), The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) and The Nun II (2023). The 2019 horror film The Curse of La Llorona is sometimes also attributed to The Conjuring Universe, however the director of that film, Michael Chaves, has on several occasions refuted this, so it has not been included as part of this record.
