Most sixes by a player in a Twenty20 International (male)

Sahil Chauhan (Estonia, b. India) smashed 18 sixes in a 41-ball innings of 144 not out in a T20 International (T20I) against hosts Cyprus at Happy Valley Ground in Episkopi on 17 June 2024. It eclipsed the 16 sixes hit by Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai against Ireland on 23 February 2019, matched by New Zealand’s Finn Allen against Pakistan on 17 January 2024. Chauhan equalled the 18 sixes amassed by Chris Gayle for Rangpur Riders against Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on 12 December 2017 – the most sixes by a player in a senior T20 match.

Chauhan made the fastest T20I hundred (and the fastest hundred in any senior T20 game) on the way to his match-winning 144 not out, reaching the landmark off 27 balls. He hit 13 of his 18 sixes in getting to 100.
