The most Grand Slams recorded by an international rugby union side in the Six Nations Championship is four, and was achieved by Wales in 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2019.

The first Six Nations Championship took place in 2000, after Italy were added to the Five Nations Championship (established in 1910). Wales’s 2019 triumph moved them to 12 Grand Slams in the Five/Six Nations Championship – just one behind record-holders England.

Wales secured their fourth championship clean sweep when they defeated Ireland 25–7 on 16 March 2019 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, UK.
