The most siblings to compete in a single Winter Olympic Games event is 4 and was achieved by Eduardo, Jorge, Adrian and Roberto Tames (all Mexico) who formed both of Mexico's teams in the 2-man bobsled event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada on 20 February 1988. The Tames brothers all worked in a Mexican restaurant in Dallas, Texas at the time and drove 53 hours by land to Calgary to compete in a sled rented from a Canadian photographer. In an event that included teams from Jamaica, US Virgin Islands and Netherlands Antilles, the Mexican brothers were surrounded by other amateurs but each pair of brothers finished 36th and 37th out of the 40 teams, with Jorge and Eduardo finishing one second ahead of Roberto and Adrian. All four were also in the 1992 Winter Olympic squad, with Roberto and Jorge on separate teams in the 2-man bobsled, Adrian in the 4-man sled and Eduardo a reserve member. Roberto Tamés would represent Mexico one more time in the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.
