Gymnast Larisa Latynina competed at three Olympics, winning three team titles, two in the all-around competition, three on the floor and one on the vault. She claimed 18 medals in total, a record for a female Olympian. Swimmer Katie Ledecky won eight individual freestyle titles across four Games, and another in the 4 x 200 m relay.
