The most goals scored by an individual in a football European club competition (single season) was 17 by Radamel Falcao (Colombia) playing for F.C. Porto in the 2010/2011 UEFA Europa League seaon. This was equalled by Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) playing for Real Madrid during the 2013/2014 UEFA Champions League season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, both Falcao's Porto and Ronaldo's Real Madrid both won their respective competitions that season. Porto picked up their second UEFA Europa League crown, whilst Real Madrid won their record-breaking 10th European Cup/UEFA Champions League title.
