The most gloves worn on one hand simultaneously is 169, achieved by Xavier Millard (UK), in London, UK, on 2 May 2021.

During the Covid-19 lockdowns across the UK in 2020/21, Xavier was inspired by Guinness World Records' Snapchat stories to try and attempt a record. After searching our records database, he found this challenge and decided to give it a go. The previous record of 135 had not been broken since 2013 but he was confident he could beat it!

The successful attempt took just under 2 hours. Xavier's biggest challenge on the day was making sure each glove went on properly, particularly after 100+ had already been added and his hand was twice its regular size. By the final glove, his hand was hot and he could not move his fingers at all. Despite that he still believes he could have reached 200 had he not run out of gloves.

On becoming a Guinness World Records title holder, he said "Having a GWR title would be a unique accomplishment and would make me happy to know that I am the best of the world at having gloves on my hand."
