Real Madrid became the first club to record 200 match wins in the UEFA Champions League era (1992/93–) on 16 September 2025, with a 2–1 victory over Marseille. Their first win in the competition – 2–0, against Switzerland’s Grasshopper – came on 27 September 1995. Real had won the UEFA Champions League title nine times, as of the end of the 2025/26 season, with a further six triumphs in the European Cup era (1955/56–1991/92).
