Days short of his 73rd birthday, Force earned career win No.155 on 1 May 2022 at the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. Force went winless in his first nine seasons in the NHRA. Yet following his maiden victory in Montreal, Canada, in June 1987, he went on to become the first driver to record 100 race wins and won the Funny Car championship 16 times – also a record.
