The fastest time to row the length of the Mississippi River by a team is 16 days 20 hr 16 min, and was achieved by Scott Miller, Judson Steinback, Paul Cox, and Wally Werderich (all USA), from Lake Itasca, Minnesota, to Mile Zero in the Gulf of Mexico, from 10 May to 27 May 2023.


The team, known as “Mississippi Speed Record," trained together for over a year before making their attempt.
