Zimbabwe and the USA have both been skittled out for 35 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODI); Zimbabwe against Sri Lanka at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe on 25 April 2004, and the USA against Nepal at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal, on 12 February 2020.

Ex-West Indian international, opener Xavier Marshall (16), was the only American player to make it past four runs as Nepal’s 19-year-old leg spinner Sandeep Lamicchane (six wickets for 16 runs in six overs) and Sushan Bhari (four wickets for five runs in three overs) tore through the visitors’ batting line-up in 12 overs on their way to an eight-wicket win; seven was the top score in Zimbabwe’s 18-over collapse, with Chaminda Vaas (four wickets for 11 runs in nine overs) the destroyer-in-chief as Sri Lanka completed a nine-wicket victory.

The USA’s 35 was the shortest completed innings in ODI history by balls bowled (72).
