The longest underwater walk with one breath (male) is 96 m (314 ft 11.52 in) and was achieved by Boris Milosic (Croatia), in Split, Croatia, on 1 March 2020.
Boris has always loved the water. At age 7, he always loved diving in the ocean and exploring, but it wasn't until he reached age 14 that he discovered freediving as a sport.
Despite his long career in freediving, Boris still had to train five times a week in preparation for his attempt. He practised both holding his breath statically and also while walking. The training paid off massively in the end, as the attempt went very smoothly!
We also asked Boris how he managed to stay focused during his attempt: "Breath-holding is something spiritual, when you accept this aspect of the sport, you learn to harvest the positive energy from it and the motivation comes from itself".
Congratulations to Boris on being Officially Amazing!
