Named for the legendary commentator and ex-coach John Madden (USA), now deceased, EA’s Madden NFL series has endured for 36 years 77 days. The series kicked off with John Madden Football (Robin Antonick, John Friedman, Rob Johnson and Bethesda Softworks) for the PC on 1 June 1988 and most recently added Madden NFL 25 (EA Orlando) to its ranks on 16 August 2024.
