India (Gorakhpur)

The longest railway platform is located at Gorakhpur Junction, a station in Uttar Pradesh, India. The number 1 platform at this station, which was rebuilt in 2013, measures 1,366 m including ramps and 1,355 m without them.

The station is also the headquarters of India's North Eastern Railway. The record was previously held by the South Eastern Railway's Kharagpur Junction railway station, which had a platform of 1,072 m. As of 2021, Gorakpur still appears to hold the record. However, ongoing renovation work at the South Western Railway's hub at Hubballi Junction in Karnakata, includes a planned platform of 1,505 m.
