The longest marathon reading aloud by a team is 500 hours 13 minutes, achieved by Franchesca Minier, Ismael Duran, Mayury Vélez, Maikol Arias and Abril del Rosario (all Dominican Republic) and organized by Ministerio de la Juventud, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 31 August to 21 September 2026.

This historic achievement mobilized the entire country, captivating the Dominican public who maintained night-and-day vigils outside and online to support the five young readers.
