The longest knitted bunting line is 14,279 m (46,847 ft), achieved by Devon County Show, Crafts and Gardens (UK), in Devon, UK, on 25 May 2020.
This record was organised in celebration of the 125th Devon County Show. Deborah Custance Baker, who runs the Crafts and Garden section, wanted to decorate the roof expanse, and so decided to do so with the longest knitted bunting line.
The attempt also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Women’s Institute and the 10th anniversary of the Exeter Nutty Knitters. Members of the public were encouraged to send in bunting, with entries sent from Australia, USA, France, Spain and every corner of the United Kingdom.
