The longest specimen of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) measures 113.4 cm (3 ft 8.64 in) and was grown by Sebastian Suski (Poland/UK) in Southampton, Hampshire, UK, as confirmed by the UK National Vegetable Society on 20 August 2022.
The cucumber was grown in a polytunnel to protect it from the extreme heat of this particularly hot summer, and was also tended to by Sebastian's wife Renata. The measurement was undertaken by Martyn Davis, a judge from the UK National Vegetable Society. Suski's cucumber eclipsed the previous record of 107 cm (3 ft 6.13 in) by 6.4 cm (2.51 in).
