The largest sandal measures 7.45 m (24 ft 5.31 in) long and 3.09 m (10 ft 1.65 in) wide and was created by the Municipio de Sahuayo (Mexico) in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico, on 24 November 2016.
The group of artisans created a giant huarache, a type of traditional Mexican sandal, using around 80 square metres of leather.
