The largest rum tasting event involved 786 participants, was conducted by Hugo de Jesús Alvarez Builes (Colombia) and was organized by the Fabrica de Licores y Alcoholes de Antioquia (Colombia) at Plaza Mayor Medellín, Conventions and Exhibitions Center, in Medellín, Colombia, on 17 October 2015.
The event lasted three hours and a half. During this time the participants had the opportunity to taste five different aged rums.
