The cut-out depicted a traditional Chinese scene including elements such as bamboo, the Great Wall of China and historical figures Guangong and Confucious. The finished cut-out measured 17.36 m (56 ft 11.46 in) high and 36.30 m (119 ft 1.13 in) wide.
