Largest online photo album of animals

The largest online photo album of animals contains 115,251 photos uploaded by the customers of insurance firm Petplan Ltd (UK), as verified on 5 August 2026.

The UK pet insurance provider invited customers past and present to upload photos of their much-loved dogs, cats, rabbits and horses as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Submissions were open from 1 April to 31 July 2026, and pet owners responded in spectacular numbers.

An incredible 126,554 photos were submitted, with 115,251 ultimately beating the previous Guinness World Records figure of 104,022 images.

The giant online gallery celebrates the special bond between people and their pets, bringing together thousands of funny, heart-warming and personality-packed animal photos in one shared collection.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Lena Kuhlmann praised the impressive scale of the attempt: "This is a huge volume of submissions," said Lena, "and it's been a joy verifying more than 115,000 qualifying images."

The official Guinness World Records certificate presentation took place on 19 August 2026. Petplan said exceeding the record target was “incredibly exciting” and a fitting way to celebrate five decades of supporting pets and their owners.
