The largest naval hovercraft, and the largest hovercraft currently in operation anywhere, is the Russian Zubr (NATO codename Pomornik) ship, which is 57 m (187 ft) long, 22.3 m (73.1 ft) wide and has a full load displacement of 535 tonnes (1.17 million lb). The Zubr is an amphibious landing craft able to deliver 360 troops or three battle tanks onto beaches at speeds of up to 60 knots (111 km/h or 69 mph).

It has a crew of between 21 and 31, and is armed with two multiple rocket launchers, four portable air defence missile systems, and two 30 mm machine guns.The Zubr is able to travel over obstacles up to 2 m (6.5 ft) high.
