The record for the largest dish washed is 3 m (10 ft) in diameter and was achieved by the washing-up liquid Dawn Direct Foam (Procter and Gamble), in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, on 1 February 2008.
The dish, which took two weeks to make, was washed by NFL legend Emmitt Smith on the eve of Super Bowl XLII which was won by the New York Giants. The dish was designed and constructed by Tim Vittetoe, Scott Nakada, Greg Reed and Lisa Hansell.
