The largest day of the dead altar measured 1,044.30 m² (11,240.75 ft²) and was created by Gobierno del Estado de Hidalgo (Mexico) at Plaza Juárez, Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, Mexico, on 1 November 2019.
Some elements used to create the altar were: 50 portraits of famous Hidalgo characters; 50 kg of salt; 600 candy skulls; 1,000 bouquets of cempasúchil flower; 200 pieces of bread; 4,800 of perforated paper; 4 representations of the xoloitzcuintle dog and 1,000 candles.
