The largest colouring book measures 14 m² (150 ft² 100 in²), and was achieved by UBS AG (Hong Kong) at Central Harbourfront, Hong Kong, China, on 12 October 2018.
The title of the largest colouring book is 'Coloring the future of Hong Kong'. The book was created as part of UBS' Mega Art Project.
The book contains 20 pages. The cover page and inside pages all measured 7 m x 2 m (22 ft 11 in X 6 ft 6 in). Students from Po Leung Kok schools in Hong Kong and children of local UBS employees were invited as part of a competition to submit pictures of their visions for the future of Hong Kong for selection for inclusion in the final book. An illustrator created the line art drawings for the giant book based on the pictures selected for inclusion. Each page in the colouring book showed the original students' pictures juxtaposed with the illustrator's interpretation of their pictures.
The smaller commercially available book measured 56 cm x 16 cm (22 in X 6 in) and was sold for $HK 250. It had a print run of 1,500 copies.
The pages of the giant colouring book used 350 gsm paper and were 0.44 mm thick.
