A malignant bone tumour weighing 16.5 kg (36 lb 6 oz) was removed from the right femur of 35-year-old Naresh Kumar (India) in Swami Ram Nagar, India, on 10 March 2002.
The tumour had a maximum length of 45 cm (17.7 in) and was 30 cm (11.8 in) wide.
Dr. B.K.S.Sanjay (India) removed the tumour at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences.
