Highest annual earnings for a golfer (current year)

According to estimates published by Forbes, the current highest-earning golfer is Jon Rahm (Spain), who reportedly earned $218 m (£174 m) in the 12 months up to 1 May 2024.

This placed him second on the Forbes list of highest-earning athletes overall, only behind Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo on $260 m (£207.6 m).

Out of Rahm's total earnings, $198 m (£158 m) was estimated to have been from golf directly, while the remainder came via sponsorship/endorsement deals.

The next highest-earning golfers of 2023-24 were Rory McIlroy (UK) on $80.1 m (£63.9 m) and Tiger Woods (USA) on $67.2 m (£53.6 m).
