The heaviest squash weighed 2,164 lb (981.57 kg) and was grown by Todd and Donna Skinner (both USA). It was authenticated by the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth at the Oakland Nursery National Pumpkin Weigh-off in Dublin, Ohio, USA, on 10 October 2021.


The squash was grown from a "1109 Jutras" mother seed taken from a squash produced by previous record-setting grower Joe Jutras.

The Skinners have been growing pumpkins and squashes for almost three decades. They spend more than 50 hours a week in peak growing season tending to their gourds.
