The largest prize fund for a single horse race is $20 million (£15.22 million), for the Saudi Cup, held at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 26 February 2022.

The winner of the race was the heavily unfavoured horse, Emblem Road who some bookkeepers had the horse's odds as low as 99-1. The horse turned on the afterburners in the last 200 yards to beat the favourites and take home $10 million of the prize pool.
