The deepest no-limit freedive by a female is 160 m (524 ft 11.2 in), by Tanya Streeter (USA) in the Turks and Caicos Islands on 17 August 2002. At the time of setting, this was the deepest official no-limit mark achieved by any diver, male or female.

The dive lasted 3 minutes 26 seconds. Widely considered to be the most dangerous form of freediving, no-limits practitioners can descend and ascend using the method of their choosing. Many divers use a bar or sled fixed to a line to take them down, while returning with the aid of gas balloons.
