The deepest dive in the constant weight discipline (CWT) by a male freediver is 130 m (426 ft 6 in), achieved by Alexey Molchanov (Russia) on 18 July 2018 at the Vertical Blue freediving competition at Dean’s Blue Hole on Long Island in The Bahamas. Molchanov beat his own world record, set in 2016, by a metre. This is the deepest self-propelled dive in history.

An unprecedented total of 10 freediving world records were set at the 2018 Vertical Blue competition. Molchanov also set a new free immersion (FIM) record of 125 metres.
