The first person to row the Atlantic West to East solo from the USA is Gerard d'Aboville (France) who rowed Capitaine Cook between 10 July - 20 September 1980, in a time of 71 days 23 hr. NB - this is not land to land, as d'Aboville was towed to land from the finish (Lizard Meridian) line.
