The Yuneec e430 is the world’s first electric aircraft to be commercially produced. It is an environmentally friendly aircraft that carries no aviation fuel, emits no fumes and has a low noise profile. It is a single-engined, high wing monoplane that can fly for 1.5 to 3 hours depending on its configuration and, with only two moving parts in the motor, it is reliable and requires little maintenance. It is a two-seater with a wingspan of 13.8metres (45.2 feet), a standard take-off weight of 430kg (946 pounds) and cruises at 52 knots (95 km/hr). Cost is around US$89,000 (approx £57,000).
