The shortest time taken by a female to reach the three extreme points of the Earth: Mt Everest, the North Pole and the South Pole (also known as the Three Poles) is 1 yr 336 days, and was achieved by Cecilie Skog (Norway). Ms Skog summitted Mt Everest on 23 May 2004, reached the South Pole on 27 December 2005, and finally claimed the North Pole on 24 April 2006. Cecilie's trip to the North Pole was the Fastest unsupported North Pole trek by a female.
