The fastest run indoor 60 m by a male athlete is 6.34 seconds, by Christian Coleman (USA) at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, on 18 February 2018. He broke Maurice Greene’s record of 6.39 seconds, which had stood for almost 20 years.
Coleman ran 6.37 seconds at a meet on 20 January 2018, but the IAAF could not ratify the time as an official world record due to the lack of electronic starting blocks and on-site drug testers.
