The fastest flying disc relay (20 m course) is 5.47 sec and was achieved by Chris Knight, Michael and Becky Beacham, Dustin Black and David Rush (all USA) in Boise, Idaho, USA, on 14 March 2021.
The team made over a dozen previous attempts before smoothly achieving their record time. It took careful coordination to ensure the frisbee could be both caught and passed again in one fluid movement. They tried a few different orders for the participants and worked out the quickest ways to throw and catch the discs. It didn’t take them long, however it did require some thought.
When asked about any future record breaking plans, Michael said “I don't know of any current future plans, but some of us have set some other disc related records, and likely will try our hand at more in the future.”
