Amusan lit up the 2022 World Championships setting a world record and then going on to win the Gold medal just two hours later on in the day. Initially, it looked as though another World Record had been set by the Nigerian athlete of 12.06, however, this time around it was denied by the wind speed being 2.5 m/s.
