Fastest completion of Baldur’s Gate

Sword and sorcery RPG Baldur’s Gate (BioWare, 1998) is a game that can take upwards of 100 hours to fully explore. Benjamin Culley managed to complete it in just 18 min 29 sec on 6 May 2009. To achieve his feat, Benjamin made use of glitches that enabled him to generate plenty of potions, particularly “oils of speed”, and teleport glitches to cut out much of the game. Away from the glitches, his other key secret was hiding in shadowy areas instead of engaging in lengthy battles that would have otherwise slowed him down.
