The first romantically themed simulator was Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka’s debut, Girl’s Garden. The 8-bit title was released exclusively in Japan for Sega’s own SG-1000 console.
The plot involves a pink-haired country girl named Papri collecting 10 different flowers, and evading several bears, in order to prevent her boyfriend, Minto, from falling for another girl.
