On 19 May 2011, strategy game Napoleon: Total War scooped the award for Best Original Videogame Soundtrack. Collecting the prize, lead composer Richard Beddow (UK) rubbed shoulders with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Plan B. The videogame category first appeared at the 2010 award ceremony.
The prestigious Ivor Novello Awards have been rewarding British musicians and songwriters since 1955.
