On 19 March 2010, gamer Derek Zhang completed the epic Civilization IV: Colonization (Firaxis, 2008) in an incredible time of 14 min 38 sec. He achieved his record time on the “pilgrim difficulty”, using the Dutch civilization. Derek said he wasn’t “satisfied” with his running time, modestly admitting that “the luck in treasure drops were more responsible for the fast time than my execution, which was rather sloppy”.
