The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences hands out its Interactive Achievement Awards every year. No sports series has received more accolades than SSX. Debut title SSX amassed five awards, SSX 3 (EA Canada, 2003) picked up two trophies, and fourth title in the series SSX on Tour (EA Canada, 2005) gained a single nod for Outstanding Achievement in Soundtrack. Trivia

It’s quite common to hear Hollywood talent in epic RPG games or gritty shooters, but less so in a snowboarding game. Way back in 2001, SSX Tricky (EA Canada) hired Charlie’s Angels star Lucy Liu to provide the voice for cover character Elise Riggs. The game also features vocal work from actors David Arquette and Billy Zane, as well as turns from musicians Macy Gray and Bif Naked.

Trivia
The SSX series has long been famed for its multiple-artist soundtracks, but this all changed with SSX Blur (EA Montreal, 2007). The entire score was composed by Dutch musician Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg), who took his remix of Elvis Presley’s “A Little Less Conversation” to No.1 in the UK chart in 2002.
