Highest Xbox 360 Famitsu score

Known as the definitive source of review scores in Japan, weekly magazine Famitsu gave the Xbox 360 version of the action-packed Bayonetta a perfect 40/40 score. In the history of the magazine, Famitsu has only given 15 games a perfect score, and of those 15 Bayonetta is the first Xbox 360 game. The PlayStation 3 version of the game scored a slightly lower 38/40, due to some minor frame-rate issues. Bayonetta has sold 1.69 million copies on both formats worldwide. Where Chun-Li is empowered, Bayonetta is all excess, a fighting witch who shoots both from the hip and from the guns integrated in her high heels. This is only to be expected of the over-the-top hack-and-slash genre.

It is one of only three Xbox 360 titles to have made the grade.
