Joel and Ellie’s road-trip to remember has sold more than 17 million copies, last count –according to Naughty Dog in celebration of the game’s 5th Anniversary on June 14, 2018. This combines sales of the PlayStation 3 original, and the 2014 PlayStation 4 Remastered. Joel and Ellie’s nearest competitors are Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2, whose zombie-infested quest shifted just shy of 6 million copies on PlayStation 2, before the 2019 remake.
