Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Intelligent Systems, 2005) for the Nintendo GameCube was the first game in the venerable Fire Emblem series to be released since 2000. On 23 December 2006, Kiazyk managed all 28 chapters of the game in 2 hr 30 min 1 sec. The run took him 158 turns. Trivia

The Fire Emblem series was created by Shouzou Kaga, the same designer and developer who worked on Advance Wars (Intelligent Systems, 2001). This was a successful and critically acclaimed turn-based strategy series for the Game Boy Advance. The first game garnered a Metacritic average of 92% and a perfect 10 from Eurogamer, among several excellent reviews. Its release did not go smoothly, however: the game arrived in US shops just a day before the 11 September 2001 attacks, and its Japanese debut was subsequently delayed by three years. Two follow-up games were released for the Nintendo DS in 2005 and 2008. Kaga, meanwhile, left Intelligent Systems to set up his own company.
