As of 05 February 2019, US esports player Justin “Jwong” Wong has managed to garner the most EVO tournament titles ever. Justin currently holds nine individual trophies, having won the championships in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2014.
Eight of Justin's nine titles were won playing Marvel vs. Capcom games, most notably, Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (2000, Capcom) for the Sega Dreamcast.
