Released for the N64 in 1999, Donkey Kong 64 brought platform gamers together for shared gaming in a four-player mode. Made by British developer Rare, the 3D platformer was the first title to require the N64’s “Expansion Pak”, which offered additional RAM for better graphics and larger playing environments.
