The smallest functional MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) cabinet in the world was built by Adafruit engineer Phillip Burgess (USA), and documented on 14 September 2016. This tiny cab is just 67.2 mm (2.65") tall, 33.6 mm (1.32") wide, and 35.8 mm (1.41") deep. The screen is about as big as a thumbnail, and its tiny joystick and two buttons just about big enough to be useable. The arcade machine, which is built around a Raspberry Pi Zero computer, a 0.96" RGB OLED display, and an I2S class D audio amplifier, runs games such as Pac-Man, Dig Dug and Donkey Kong. While Burgess admits the coarse resolution of the screen makes the games difficult to play, it is possible!
