Released in 1979, Milton Bradley’s Microvision was the first handheld system to use interchangeable cartridges, one of which was the puzzle game Mindbuster. The game posed players various tests that could be solved by pressing buttons in the correct sequence. Unfortunately, lack of industry support and poor systems sales led to the demise of the Microvision as a viable gaming platform.
